Chemical vs. Mineral sunscreen: What’s the diff?
Lately I find mineral sunscreens have been becoming a lot of people’s sunscreen of choice. I have wondered, why? Mineral sunscreen is often known to potentially give a white cast and especially for someone with brown skin, what is the benefit of spending the time searching for the perfect mineral sunscreen when there are chemical Continue reading

SPFs for Dark Skin
Ever since I entered my 20s I was weary about aging. This is when I started wearing SPF everyday even in the winter and overcast days. I’ve tried many drugstore and Sephora brands over the years. As a dark skinned woman, it’s hard finding something with no white cast. I’ve even tried some that claim Continue reading

Nude Lipsticks for medium-deep skin tones and pigmented lips
Throughout the years, I’ve tried many lipsticks and much of the shades I’ve been drawn to were nude pinks and browns. For special occasions – bold pinks, reds, and oranges. I could never leave the house without putting something on my lips. Mainly because of my super dark upper lip that didn’t match my pink Continue reading

Snail Mucin Power Essence: Worth the hype?
It has been 9 months since I’ve seriously thought about my skincare. For the past 9 months I’ve been doing the bare minimum, washing my face at night when I get the time. If I didn’t have the time the previous night, washing my face in the morning while in the shower, if I had Continue reading

Best Bronzers for medium- deep skin tones
I wasn’t always into bronzer. When I had begun wearing makeup regularly in University, I thought bronzer was only for fair skinned girls. I saw these girls with what looked like warm contours and wished to have that same look. Years later I found out – ‘Yes, dark skinned girls can do the same! And Continue reading

Hi, I’m Always Blushing
I’m a lover of beauty, especially makeup. I’ve tried alot of products throughout the years and there are some that are my tried and true that I can’t wait to share. I don’t bake or wear foundation everyday. I love the natural look but I’m also open to subtle pops of colour. I love nude tones and Continue reading
About Me
Why should you care about what I think about makeup? Why should you take my recommendations? Once upon a time I lived for makeup. I bought so much, swatched anything worth swatching. I’ve tried so much and bought so much. I was a Sephora makeup junkie. Although my current life is much different than ‘once upon a time’ was – being a new mother, working from home since Covid hit so not wearing makeup for years, not having much time to myself and being on a budget, my love of makeup remains. My makeup collection is still quite large compared to the everyday Jeynthi, but my everyday makeup routine can be done in less than 5 minutes, all with products I love! If you can relate, follow along. I don’t intend to make it complicated.
Below are some of my makeup stats!
Foundation matches:
Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder – 9 deep
Armani Beauty Luminous Silk – 8.75
MAC Studio Radiance Sheer Face & Body – C5
