Snail Mucin Power Essence: Worth the hype?

It has been 9 months since I’ve seriously thought about my skincare. For the past 9 months I’ve been doing the bare minimum, washing my face at night when I get the time. If I didn’t have the time the previous night, washing my face in the morning while in the shower, if I had the chance lol.

Why the last 9 months? Well, my son is 9 months old! All the mothers know!

These are small things, but I would have never been one to neglect my skin – let alone the skin on my face. I’ve been wearing eye cream since my early 20s to control my ‘eye wrinkles’! My skincare routine before pregnancy and pre covid went something like this:

1. Face serum in the morning

2. Moisturizer, usually followed by eye cream

3. SPF

4. Cleanse at night

5. Face oil or night cream

My skin has been at its worst lately and was not a top priority.

On top of any regular skin concern I had, which was just the dry skin, postpartum had given me a new one – rosacea!

The other day I walked into a Sukoshi Mart. I saw the viral CosRX Snail Mucin. I hesitated a little, but I have to admit, I was curious and picked up a bottle.

Came home, excited to try. Squirted a couple pumps on my hand. Looked ooey gooey, and I have to say, very satisfying to put on.

What I noticed after putting this slug juice on my face along with a very hydrating serum – the rosacea which I have on one side of my face was gone and my skin was glowing!

I will continue to wear this paired with moisturizer and SPF, of course. It has worked wonders already with taming my redness and bonus, its only 25 bucks!

XoXo,

Always Blushing

About Me

Why should you care about what I think about makeup? Why should you take my recommendations? Once upon a time I lived for makeup. I bought so much, swatched anything worth swatching. I’ve tried so much and bought so much. I was a Sephora makeup junkie.  Although my current life is much different than ‘once upon a time’ was –  being a new mother, working from home since Covid hit so not wearing makeup for years, not having much time to myself and  being on a budget, my love of makeup remains.  My makeup collection is still quite large compared to the everyday Jeynthi, but my everyday makeup routine can be done in less than 5 minutes, all with products I love!  If you can relate, follow along. I don’t intend to make it complicated.

Below are some of my makeup stats!

Foundation matches:

Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder – 9 deep
Armani Beauty Luminous Silk – 8.75
MAC Studio Radiance Sheer Face & Body – C5

Skin type: Normal/dry
