Always blushing

I recently did makeup for a cousin at a family wedding. It’s something I love doing and we went shopping months in advance to get the best products and shade matches for her skin. We also used some of the products from my makeup stash. my products.

This makeup routine made her look flawless and natural! Part of this was because we got the perfect shade match for her base. As a brown person it’s so hard to find the perfect foundation shade, but it’s the most important part of having a flawless look.

Bobbi Brown Skin Long-wear Weightless Foundation SPF 15

She wore this all night and she looked flawless. No creasing or budging! We did set her makeup with powders. It was very light though and it kept her looking great all night while still keeping her makeup intact.

Clinique Even Better All-Over concealer

Clinique products are so underrated. This concealer was so full coverage. It did extremely well at covering acne marks. If you want flawless coverage and you have any pigmented scars, don’t just rely on a foundation to cover it. Covering it with a concealer first allows you to use less foundation, so your makeup ends up looking less cakey and more natural.

Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate (shade 2)

This cream bronzer is a great shade for most deep skinned girlies. It wasn’t much darker than her skin and it gives a natural bronzed look, not too intense, which i always prefer.

Haus labs bronzer

This bronzer again was a shade darker than her skin tone. I used it LIGHTLY to set the cream bronzer. This bronzer is so pigmented so it can definitely be used on its own for everyday.

Laura Mercier setting powder

This was used to set under her eyes, around her nose, and forehead. It had great setting power and really brown girl friendly! The key here is to set very lightly with a fluffy tapered brush using the pat and roll method. Thank you, Mali Magic for this life changing tip!

Bobbi Brown Nude Finish Illuminating Powder

I found this one recently and although the difference it gives you is very subtle, I find it gives you such a natural glow. I hate the look you get when you set with powder and everything looks so matte! This powder is definitely for the girls that love to have a fresh face glow! You will not look like a disco ball with this!

As for highlight, I completely forgot about it but she already had a glow to her skin and we knew as the night went on, her natural oils in her skin would come through and give her enough of a glow. But I love a good highlight and this is what I would recommend!

Bobbi brown shimmer brick

This is so perfect for the brown girl that likes a natural glow. It’s great for everyday too!
