Always blushing

Ever since I entered my 20s I was weary about aging. This is when I started wearing SPF everyday even in the winter and overcast days.

I’ve tried many drugstore and Sephora brands over the years. As a dark skinned woman, it’s hard finding something with no white cast. I’ve even tried some that claim to have no white cast but do. I have trust issues with drugstore brands because of it.

Here are my top picks!

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen

This is the only chemical sunscreen on the list. Unlike other ones, this goes on clear. It makes your skin feel so smooth and you don’t even notice you’re wearing anything. This is definitely my top pick and it’s a great base for your makeup as well.

Supergoop Dailyscreen Moisturizer

I’ve recently started wearing sunscreen daily for the summer. The sun has been beaming lately! This blends in so well just like a regular moisturizer. My only complaint is that for a body moisturizer, there’s not much product in the tub.

Josie Maran Get Even Sun Milk

I first tried Josie Maran when I bought at their SPF at Sephora over 5 years ago. I had once used it and wore it under makeup and experienced some pilling and ever since then I don’t wear it under foundation. It still goes on nicely and the pump packaging makes it quick to apply. It’s a small detail, but I can just squeeze two pumps onto my hand and that’s enough to cover my face and neck. This is what I do when I just want to leave home quick with no makeup.

Shiseido clear sunscreen stick

This is a new purchase. Did you know you should reapply SPF every 2 hours? I’ve never done this and as I’m approaching 40 it’s something I’m starting to do. This stick is not something you would put over foundation, but as someone who only wears foundation for special occasions, I don’t mind!
